How We Keep Students Safe on the IAYP Adventurous Journey

Experienced and Caring Educators
Our Outdoor Educators are certified Wilderness First Responder (WFR) and Basic Life Support (BLS). They are skilled at guiding children safely while nurturing their confidence and curiosity in the outdoors.
Safe and Comfortable Sleeping Arrangements
Children stay two or three to a tent, with boys and girls in separate tents and programme facilitators nearby. Regular headcounts and night checks ensure everyone is accounted for and comfortable.
Facilitation and Assessment Tools
The workshop equips teachers with practical tools to confidently facilitate EL activities and assess learning outcomes, not just through grades, but through growth in engagement, empathy, and real-world understanding.
Prepared for Changing Weather
We track weather conditions closely and adjust plans with safety as the top priority. Waterproof tents and required rain gear mean children stay dry, and even get to enjoy the joy of light rain in the wilderness.
Living Safely With Nature
Children learn how to observe insects, bugs, and reptiles without fear. Our team shares what to watch for, areas to avoid, and how to coexist respectfully with wildlife.
Women Facilitators
We always have women facilitators present on our overnight camps.

Green Trails on our IAYP Adventurous Journey

At InSOUL, we believe that the Adventurous Journey should not only build individuals, it should also protect the places that make these journeys possible.

Every programme we run is rooted in the Green Trails philosophy, a legacy initiative by Indiahikes to leave the mountains better than we find them. Green Trails has set the benchmark for sustainable trekking in India.

Our campsites and trekking routes are zero-litter, dustbin-free zones. Participants are expected to carry back all the waste they generate, including personal waste.
